About the Radiologist
Dr. Grant graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2004. Following graduation, he began a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at UAB Medical Center, completing training in 2009. Dr. Grant completed fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging at Radiology Associates of Birmingham in conjunction with the Andrews Sports Institute. Dr. Grant joined Birmingham Radiological Group in 2010 and has practiced inpatient and outpatient radiology at Shelby Baptist Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Chilton Medical Center since that time.
Dr. Grant grew up in Montgomery, AL, and attended college at Duke University from 1990-1994 through a Naval ROTC scholarship. Dr. Grant received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and following graduation, was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. After serving several tours of shipboard duty on both the East and West coasts, he left the Navy in 1998 and began his quest for medical school admission. While in medical school, Dr. Grant decided to pursue a career in radiology due to its unique combination of diagnostic challenges, varied procedures, and rewarding patient contact.
Dr. Grant married his wife Michelle in 2000. Together, they have two sons, Gaston and Brooks. While not working, Dr. Grant enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake. The Grants also enjoy their two dogs, Finlay and Maisie. Dr. Grant is an avid fan of both Duke and Auburn athletics. Go Devils and War Eagle!
