Dr. Ben McDaniel is a native of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.  He received his undergraduate degree in Management with a concentration in Accounting from Georgia Tech.  Upon graduation, he spent 5 years working as a CPA at Ernst & Young in Atlanta in the Entrepreneurial Services Division and worked his way up to a manager position.  He also owned a retail business for 5 years.  He then decided to attend Mercer University School of Medicine.  He went on to do his internship and residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, Alabama.  He stayed on for a 5^th year to be Chief Resident.  In 2006 he joined the Shelby Division of Birmingham Radiological Group.  He is currently the Program Director of Outpatient Radiology at Shelby Baptist Hospital, Chief of Radiology, and on the Medical Executive Committee at St. Vincent’s Chilton Hospital.
