Birmingham Radiological Group

A network of the best Radiologist

Birmingham Radiological Group, P.C. (BRG) began more than 50 years ago, being the first medical group to introduce MRI to the state of Alabama. BRG now consists of 45 radiologists and is one of the largest groups of radiologists in the state. We provide a full range of services in the radiological modalities including, but not limited to, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology.

BRG owns and operates two freestanding imaging centers: Premier Imaging Center at Pilot Medical Park, and the St. Vincent’s Women’s Imaging Center. These centers are equipped with the highest quality of diagnostic equipment available offering 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and bone densitometry.

Our residency program, founded in 1973, provides young radiology professionals with comprehensive experiences in all aspects of radiologic techniques and practice.  Visit the following website to learn more about the program.

BRG is also honored to have had two former American College of Radiology Chancellors in our group: Emmett Templeton, M.D. and Bibb Allen, M.D. Although Dr. Templeton is now retired, Dr. Bibb Allen remains very active in the ACR and brings a wealth of knowledge to the group regarding legislative and regulatory issues and how they impact the radiology community.

In 1995, BRG created a separate company called BRG Specialty Physician Billing, Inc. It was established so we could offer specialized services in all aspects of radiology billing and management including accounting, human resources, accounts payable, compliance and credentialing to clients all across the state of Alabama.

BRG has seasoned, fellowship-trained radiologists that are dedicated to providing only the very best in imaging services at the highest level possible.
